We went to watch Maggie dance for the first time as a Dixie Bell. Marlee thought it was so neat and Laynie liked the Skittles most of all.
My sweet baby has a look that will cut you.
I had the girls one Thursday (which is normally my cleaning day), so Marlee "helped" me mop and then we went to Chick-fil-A for dinner and to the pet store to look around.
We went to the fair. After purchasing an arm band for both girls, we realized Laynie was too short to ride almost everything (She WAS NOT happy about that) and Marlee was too scared to ride almost everything. In addition, we didn't have closed toe shoes so Marlee couldn't do the fun houses (She WAS NOT happy about that). Marlee rode the Merry Go Round about 10 times.
The girls rode the horses on the way out, which was probably the highlight of their evening.
We savored the last of the warm weather with a day on the lake, lots of popsicles, trips to the park, and water fun at home.
I bet Laynie climbed up and down the boat ladder for 30 minutes.
Marlee likes to pretend this is an ice cream stand. She likes to take my order.
Marlee gave me and Laynie a manicure.
Marlee started ice skating lessons and Dada took her to her first Razorback game all in one day. She LOVED ice skating and didn't love the game. They left right after the first quarter. Dada said she was a trooper but she looked so hot. He said on the way to the car she said "Thanks for taking me to the ball game, Dada."
The Bradley's came over to watch the second Razorback game and Marlee and Dada camped in the backyard that night. They actually stayed out there all night long!
James was out of town quite a bit for work so the girls and I had some bonding time. We all slept in my bed and they loved it. Laynie may or may not be still sleeping in my bed.
The girls are so sweet at night and always give each other hugs and kisses goodnight.
Laynie likes to read her books herself now. She still covers my mouth and tells me "Shh" when I try to read to her.
