Marlee spent July 3rd at Jack & Jill with her Ma and Maggie so she could take part in the July 4th festivities.
Then we headed down to lake Ouachita on July 4th. We got there in time to watch the fireworks on the dock. Marlee watched a little Elmo while we waited.
I was afraid the fireworks would scare Marlee, but she absolutely loved them. She kept saying "the works!" and "woah!". And then she said "bye-bye" to "the works" about 100 times before she went to sleep that night. ;)
Marlee and Josie are really starting to become little buddies. If they can just get the sharing thing down. ;)
This would be the cutest picture ever if there wasn't a big glob of snot coming out of her nose. Oh, well.
We had a good time on the lake once we found a cove that didn't intrigue Marlee to climb the rocks. The first cove we went to had a lot of big rocks and cliffs and of course that is all my little tomboy wanted to do.
How do you get all of the grandkids to sit still for a picture? With suckers, of course!
The lake will wear you out, but you are never too tired to catch up on a little Elmo with your Dada and your cousins.
