Laynie is 3 Months Old

"Hey Mom, whatcha doin?"

 "Oh, you want me to smile?  I can do that."

 "And we might as well catch up while we're at it."

 "Okay Mom, I'm tired of this.  Can you please pick me up?" 

We went to the doctor at twelve weeks.  Laynie's stats:

Weight:  12 pounds, 2 ounces (between the 25th and 50th percentile)

Length:  22.64 inches (between the 10th and 25th percentile)

Head Circumference: 16.34 inches (between the 75th and 90th percentile)

Wearing size 1 diaper (although she is probably ready to wear size 2) and size 3-6 month clothes

Smiles and coos all the time.

Loves to just stare a people.  She gets upset if she is by herself for too long.

Sleeps a 8-9 hour stretch most nights...although I think she has been going through a growth spurt this last week

Eats about 3 ounces every 3 hours

Takes naps whenever she feels like it.  Sometimes she gets cranky and I just have to rock her for about a minute or two and her eyes start rolling back.  And sometimes she just falls asleep wherever she is and just takes a nap while we carry on.

Really wants to roll over (from back to stomach).  She can get to her side and then just hangs out there for awhile.  She likes to sleep this way.  She hasn't shown any interest in rolling over from her stomach to her back.  

We do family story time a few nights a week...she just looks around for the most part. ;)

 

Loves bath time.  She just lays there like she is so relaxed.

Has discovered her hands and sucks on them a lot. Especially her right hand. Sometimes she can get her whole fist in her mouth...just like sister at this age.

Really wants to grab things in front of her and concentrates so hard. She has gotten ahold of some of the toys on her jungle gym and holds on to them forever

Likes to look at her feet and her pretty socks with bows

Busted out of her swaddle for the first time last night, so I think it's time to retire the swaddle.  Sniff, sniff.  At least the sleep sack is next.  I love a baby in a sleep sack, too.

People say she looks just like a doll.  We think so, too.  Such a beautiful baby girl. ;)
